Charge for excess baggage

 

Anything exceeding the free baggage allowance is considered as excess baggage and can only be transported by paying an additional fee for it (taxes that correspond to the country where the excess baggage payment is made apply). Overweight, oversize and additional baggage is transported subject to available space on the plane. We also mean that baggage as (Conditional/Stand by bag).

We will do our best to make this luggage arrives with you on the day of flight. However there is a possibility that due to the operation circumstances, such baggage not transported on the same flight of the passenger. This luggage will be sent on the first flight with available capacity and will be delivered, at most, within four  (4) days from the date of arrival of the passenger to their final destination if it is a domestic flight and eight (8) days if it is an international flight.

If this is the case you can prioritize in which order your pieces should be shipped. You should then contact the baggage office in your city and you will be given the date on which you can pick it up. We cannot offer compensation for delayed baggage timber carried by (Conditional/Stand by bag). Labeled if it is delivered within the time described.

Pieces checked by TACA weighing 101 pounds or more (46 kilograms) or with the sum of their external dimensions (height + length + width) greater than 215 centimeters (85 inches) will not be accepted as checked baggage, in which case you should contact our Cargo department.

International routes

Please take into account:If you purchase your ticket from May 1, 2013, and plan to travel from June 1, 2013, please note that changes to the excess baggage charges apply.

To and from U.S.A., Canada and Mexico:

 

• Charges valid for tickets issued between August 1, 2012 and April 30, 2013:

*This charge does not apply to flights between North America and Brazil

Flights from North America (United States, Mexico and Canada) to South America or the Caribbean (and vice versa).

 

• Charges valid for tickets issued from May 1^st, 2013 starting travel on/after June 1^st 2013

*This charge does not apply to flights between North America and Brazil.

Within Latin America

 

• Charges valid for tickets issued between August 1^st, 2012 and April 30, 2013:

 

Flights from North America (United States, Mexico and Canada) to Central America (or vice versa). Flights between Latin American countries

 

• Charges valid for tickets issued from May 1^st, 2013 starting travel on/after June 1^st 2013

Note:

For flights from Brazil to the United States, Mexico, Spain and from the United States, Mexico and Spain to Brazil: when there are additional pieces, excess baggage, oversize or overweight baggage, the relevant policies for North America, Mexico and Europe apply.

For all regions: pieces weighing 101 pounds or more (46 kilos) or whose external dimensions (height + length + width) are greater than 215 centimeters (85 inches) will not be accepted as checked baggage. To transport pieces not accepted as baggage, you should contact our cargo department.
